With over forty years of imagination and creativity, Santa Rita Marketing has brought publicity and success to a wide array of clients. From hotel marketing and administration to special events, political campaigns and organic food marketing , Jeff and Linda Mannix draw upon years of experience in advertising design, promotion and public relations.

Linda managed the Ski Group Sales division of Purgatory Ski Resort, supervised concession sales on the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, and served as the Director of Sales and Marketing for Red Lion Hotels, managing a multi-million dollar budget for Durango’s first four-star, full service hotel. She developed advertising, marketing and ticket sales for the Durango Pro Rodeo Series, building the largest and most attended professional rodeo series in America.

Jeff has overseen numerous real estate syndications, promoted best-selling works of non-fiction for major publishers, and worked for Benton and Bowles Advertising Agency in New York City. He established and promoted Durango’s first weekly professional rodeo, the Durango Pro Rodeo Series, mounting forty-seven performances each summer for twelve years, entertaining an excess of 45,000 spectators each year and attracting top professional rodeo contestants and advertisers to Durango.

Jeff was commissioned in 2003 by the President of the United States to write and provide photographs for a book on Cowboys and Texas Longhorns. The president and secretary of commerce gifted this book to heads of state throughout the world.

As a team, Jeff and Linda market and manage the nationally known Personal Protection Strategies handgun defense courses, and together established and promote Santa Rita Ranch branded Texas Longhorn beef sales.

Jeff and Linda Mannix were instrumental in the founding of the Durango Cowboy Poetry Gathering in 1989, a successful nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion and preservation of the Cowboy culture and a signature special event for Durango, now in its twenty-first year. Linda serves as the Executive Coordinator, and Jeff as the President of the Board of Directors.

Linda is an expert in marketing horse-related organizations and special events. She has developed marketing strategy for Parelli Natural Horsemanship, Karen Scholl’s Horsemanship for Women, and Lee Smith’s Essential Elements of Horsemanship. Her deep knowledge and understanding of the horsemanship market define her proven marketing strategies.

Linda created and managed the Durango Western Arts and Film Festival, was a co-creator of Durango’s premier winter festival, Snowdown, as well as the infamous Snowdown Follies and the Do’s & Don’ts Fashion Show Luncheon.

Linda served three years on the Durango Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Jeff was a candidate for La Plata County Commissioner in 2002.
